Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Grand Haven City Council meets tonight for an organizational meeting at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to address the following items:
Administration of the Oaths of Office for the newly elected mayor and re-elected council members.
Council will elect a Mayor Pro-tem.
Appoint a representative to the Harbor Transit Board and NORA.
At 7:30 p.m. the regular meeting will start. GH Main Street’s Chandi Pape will give a presentation.
Grand Haven Jeepfest Expansion:
Council will consider approving the relocation and expansion of Grand Haven Jeepfest to Harbor Island on August 14–15, 2026, with a Kickoff Party downtown on August 13.
Winterfest Fireworks Proposal:
Council will consider approving a fireworks show for Saturday, January 24, 2026, from Lynn Sherwood Waterfront Stadium as part of Winterfest.
Fee Schedule Amendment:
Council will consider approving FY2025–26 Fee Schedule Amendment 2, effective January 1–June 30, 2026.
