(Ann Arbor, MI) – OpenAI and Oracle are partnering with billionaire megadonor Stephen Ross’ Related Digital to open a data center outside Ann Arbor. The plan calls for a 250-acre campus in Saline Township. The Michigan Public Service Commission still needs to approve the plan. As part of the agreement, the data center will pay for new DTE energy storage systems so excess energy can be saved for peak hours.
