Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Northbound U.S. 31 was shut down for several hours Saturday morning after a crash involving a semi truck and an SUV at M-45.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says a semi driven by a 52-year-old man from Shipshewana, Indiana, ran a red light at Lake Michigan Drive and hit a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by an 84-year-old West Olive man who was turning onto the highway. The semi rolled onto its side, blocking all northbound lanes.
Crews from K&R Towing worked for several hours to clear the scene and reopen the roadway
