(Olive Township, MI) – A turkey coop has been destroyed by a fire last night in Olive Township. Ottawa County dispatch says over a dozen fire departments responded to the flames just before 8:30 p.m. on 136th Avenue south of Stanton Street. Eric De Witt and his family own the turkey coop and he lives a few miles away. He says its unfortunate to lose the barn, but says no turkeys were inside as the coops were empty between cycles as the coop is leased to another farmer.

The 600-foot-long coop was completely destroyed.
