By Mary Ellen Murphy Sep 16, 2025 | 6:11 AM

(Lansing, MI) – State Representative Josh Schriver of Oakland County has introduced a bill to ban pornography in Michigan. The Republican says he believes pornography leads to social decay, is linked to human trafficking, and affects marriages. Schriver says over 90-percent of people younger than 18 have seen the material and says it’s “killing our morality” and “has no place in western civilization.”

If the bill is approved and signed by the governor, people could face up to 25-years in prison for distributing the material.
