(Grand Rapids, MI) — As the Fourth of July approaches, fireworks can legally be set off across Michigan. Under state law, it started Sunday and ends next Saturday, July 5th, fireworks can be lit off from 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.

As a reminder, those who are caught lighting fireworks outside of those time periods can face a one-thousand-dollar fine for each violation.
