(Coopersville, MI) – The hot weather caused a section of Interstate 96 near the Coopersville exit to buckle yesterday morning. Michigan Department of Transportation spokesman John Richard says the issue does happen.
The Ottawa County Road Commission made repairs to allow MDOT to get the lane reopened as soon as possible. Richard says more buckling pavement will happen this summer, but they don’t know where or when. It happened Sunday evening as well. Story here.
