Congressman Huizenga Calls Iran, Israel Ceasefire “First Step” To Peace

(Washington, DC) – Congressman Bill Huizenga of Zeeland is praising President Trump for ordering the bombing of three nuclear sites in Iran that have led to a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. Huizenga called Iran coming to the negotiating table “the first step” towards peace.

Congresswoman Hillary Scholten of Grand Rapids wrote on social media that Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, but noted Trump acted without congressional approval and her thoughts are with the troops. She added Americans deserve a voice through Congress “before our troops are sent to serve in another endless war.”
