Spring Lake, MI –(WGHN) – Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Spring Lake Fire Rescue, responded to a serious personal injury crash Saturday afternoon involving a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of W. Savage Street and School Street in the Village of Spring Lake around 12:22 p.m.
According to initial reports, a 56-year-old male from Grand Haven was driving a 2020 Jaguar was traveling eastbound on W. Savage Street when he attempted to turn north onto School Street. During the turn, the Jaguar collided with a motorcycle that was traveling westbound on W. Savage.
The driver of the Jaguar was not injured in the collision.
However, both occupants of the motorcycle—a 70-year-old male driver and a 67-year-old female passenger—both from Fremont suffered serious injuries. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
