Musician Brian Wilson Dead At 82

(Los Angeles, CA) – Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson is dead at the age of 82. The family made the announcement on his website. He’s considered one of the most innovative songwriters of the 20th century. Wilson also had his own solo career and toured regularly since 1999. No further details about his death were provided.

Bob Dylan and Elton John are among music royalty paying their respects to the late Brian Wilson. The Beach Boys legend died Wednesday at the age of 82. Bob Dylan wrote, “Heard the sad news about Brian today and thought about all the years I’ve been listening to him and admiring his genius.” Elton John called him, “the biggest influence on my songwriting ever.” Questlove wrote that Wilson “made art out of inexpressible sadness.” Beach Boys co-founder Al Jardine wrote, “the most comforting thought right now is that you are reunited with Carl and Dennis, singing those beautiful harmonies again.”
