(Lansing, MI) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is part of 15 attorneys general who are suing to stop the sale of machine gun-style trigger devices. The lawsuit is seeking to block a settlement between the Trump administration and Texas-based Rare Breed Triggers. The device allows a semi-automatic weapon such as an AR-15 to fire bullets much faster and turns it into a machine gun.
Sales of the devices were banned under President Biden and the settlement was reached May 16.
