(Detroit, MI) – Michigan’s governor says she’s talked to President Trump after he said last week he’d consider pardons for two men who planned to kidnap her.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer also told reporters Tuesday she hopes Trump will take some of those things into consideration when he makes a decision. The leader of the kidnapping scheme is serving a 20-year sentence in federal prison, while another was sentenced to 16 years behind bars. More than a dozen men were charged in the 2020 kidnapping plot, but only six faced federal charges.
