(POLKTON TOWNSHIP)-The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning automobile accident involving a lawnmower.
Authorities say a pickup was northbound on 48th Ave, north of Cleveland Street, shortly before 8 AM and was attempting to pass a northbound riding lawnmower in the roadway.
While passing, the mower, operated by a 41-year-old male, made a turn in front of the truck and was struck.
The man is hospitalized in Grand Rapids and listed in critical condition.
The driver of the truck was uninjured in this incident.
