GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Multiple emergency agencies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the intersection of northbound US-31 and Hayes Street around 3:30 p.m.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a 59-year-old woman from Hart, Michigan, failed to stop for a red light while driving a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup northbound on US-31. The Dodge collided with a 2012 Buick LaCrosse that was traveling east on Hayes Street and driven by a 28-year-old man from Livonia.

The force of the impact caused the Dodge pickup to roll over, eventually coming to rest on its roof in the roadway.

The driver of the Buick and his 26-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
