(Cascade Township, MI) – Emergency crews at Ford Airport are working out of a brand new building that cost millions to build. The airport announced Wednesday construction of the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting building is complete. The 14-and a-half million-dollar facility was funded by state and federal grants, plus airport dollars.
The 25-thousand-square-foot building features large bays for firefighting vehicles and more space for training and equipment storage.
