“Brad brings a deep commitment to student success and staff collaboration,” said Kristin Perkowski, Superintendent of Grand Haven Area Public Schools. “We are confident that he will build on the strong foundation established by Mrs. Sorrelle and continue guiding Lakeshore Middle School into its next chapter of excellence.”
Mr. Cusumano strongly believes in the power of strong relationships, positive school culture, and meaningful change, and he is looking forward to the new opportunity.
“I’m thrilled to join Lakeshore Middle School as the new principal,” he said. “This is an exciting opportunity, and I’m truly grateful to be a part of a school with such a rich history.”
Superintendent Perkowski shared that both staff participation and student voice played meaningful roles in the interview and selection process.
“We’re incredibly thankful to the Lakeshore staff for their thoughtful input during the hiring process and for the insights shared by the Lakeshore Middle School Superintendent Student Advisory Council,” she said. “The staff helped identify school priorities that contributed to a comprehensive selection process, and our Advisory Council members provided key insights about the school’s strengths, challenges, and their vision for the middle school student experience.”
