Allendale, MI (WGHN) – A mobile home in Allendale Meadows mobile home community is a total loss after a fire broke out Monday evening around 11:22 p.m. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office along with Grand Valley State University Police Department Officers were first on the scene and began evacuating nearby homes due to the fire spreading. The homeowner reports that a faulty electric fan had caught fire in the bedroom and then spread.
Multiple mearby residences were damaged from the heat along with several vehicles lost to the fire.
The sheriff’s Office was assisted by Allendale Township Fire, Wright Tallmadge Township Fire, Coopersville and Polkton Township Fire as well as Robinson, Blendon and Georgetown Township Fire departments.
