(Undated) – Cancer rates appear to be increasing for those under the age of 50. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health found that from 2010 through 2019, 14 cancer types increased among people under age 50 including breast and colorectal cancer. The study appeared Thursday in the journal Cancer Discovery.
Researchers did not give an explanation for the increase but speculated that risk factors such as increasing obesity may have contributed in some cases.
