(Washington, DC) – A House Democrat is introducing articles of impeachment against President Trump. In a statement, Michigan Congressman Shri Thanedar said Trump is “unfit to serve as President and represents a clear and present danger to our nation’s constitution and our democracy.” These are the first articles of impeachment to be brought against Trump since he retook office in January.
It’s considered a long shot since Republicans control both the House and Senate. Texas Congressman Al Green, who was censured for interrupting Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress, has also said he plans to introduce articles of impeachment against Trump.
