(Grand Rapids, MI) – Groundbreaking has been held on the west side of Grand Rapids for Amway Stadium. The 175-million-dollar professional soccer stadium will seat 85-hundred fans when it is complete and will have a team in the Major League Soccer Next Pro League. Grand Action 2.0, the organization behind the stadium, announced its plans for the facility in November 2020 and the location next to the YMCA was selected last year.
Co-chair Dick DeVos says the construction of the stadium will be disruptive, but they will do everything they can to minimize the disruption.
