(Lansing, MI) – The Michigan Department of Transportation says they need another two-and-a-half-billion-dollars a year for road repairs. MDOT’s chief engineer Greg Brunner says that will be what is needed to get 90-percent of the state’s roads in good or fair condition by 2036. They are forecasting that less than 35-percent of state roads will be in good or fair condition with the current level of road funding.
