Ottawa County, MI (WGHN) – The US Census Bureau has released the 2024 county population estimates. With a population of 306,575, Ottawa County saw an increase of 2,660 people from 2023. The gain results from an estimated natural increase of 654 people and a positive net migration of 1,993 people. Since 2020, Ottawa County has seen a total increase of 9,336 people, remaining the 7th largest county in Michigan.
Among the ten largest counties in the state, Ottawa County has experienced the most growth, with an increase of 3.14% since 2020. Of the largest counties, Kent County and Oakland County saw the 2nd and 3rd most growth, growing 2.20% and 1.91% respectively. Across all Michigan counties, Ottawa County was the 12th fastest growing county from 2020 to 2024.
