(Lansing, MI) – Unemployment pay in Michigan is going up effective Wednesday by 84-dollars a week. The increase is due to a law passed last year that will increase the pay from 362 to 446-dollars a week and extend the maximum number of weeks to collect jobless pay from 20 to 26. The pay increase is the first in Michigan since 2002.
It will rise to 530-dollars a week next year and to 614-dollars a week in 2027.
