(Holland, MI) – Residents of Congressman Bill Huizenga’s 4th Congressional District are frustrated by his office changing their phone system. The Zeeland Republican’s staff no longer answers the phone in the Holland, Portage, or Washington DC office and calls are directed to a phone tree answering system for people to leave messages.
Huizenga’s staff says it was started to increase efficiency and several factors went into the decision including threats made against the Congressman and his staff. He recently held two telephone town halls and his office says he has sent more than 900-thousand emails since the inauguration of President Trump.
These constituents of Congressman Bill Huizenga don’t like the new system directing them to leave a message online when they try to call his office.
The Ottawa County Democratic Party is hosting an in-person Town Hall on tomorrow in Holland. Rep. Huizenga has been invited. 6:30-8:00 at Midtown Center on 15th street in the study hall.
