(Undated) – A large part of the country is dealing with freezing temperatures. Over 75 million are under cold weather alerts in the Plains, Great Lakes and Northeast. Arctic air is combining with a storm system coming from the Rockies that will make for hazardous winter weather. The cold weather will impact recovery efforts in parts of West Virgina, Kentucky and the mid-Atlantic, where intense flooding hit the region over the weekend. Meanwhile, people living in parts of North Dakota and Montana woke up to temperatures of almost 60 degrees below zero this morning.
Wind chills below zero have extended down to Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
