Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Seven bronze memorial plaques will be installed in Potter’s Field at Lake Forest Cemetery and will honor 861 people who were confirmed to be buried there from the late 19th century to the late 20th century.
Mayor Bob Monetza:
Total cost is $57,000 and 50 grand has been covered in private funding and donation. The city is set to cover the $7,000 grand but are looking into foundation grants and other funding possibilities to help with the cost.
The project is expected to be completed by spring or early summer at the latest.
