Spring Lake, MI (WGHN) – It’s a labor of love that started with a conversation on affordable housing in the tri cities. Tom Reinsma who is lawyer with Scholten Fant and former board member of Four Pointes Center for Successful Aging along with Kim Kroll, the Four Pointes Executive Director tell the story of how The Landing at Spring Lake came to be.
A partnership with developer Samaritas, financing from the Michigan State Housing Developing Authority, a partnership with the Little River Band Of Ottawa Indians, ARPA funds from Ottawa County and from the county housing revolving fund.
It took over seven years and the ribbon cutting will be Tuesday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. Local officials, community leaders and the public are invited.

The Landing at Spring Lake is a community which offers the opportunity to be actively involved with others while maintaining ones privacy. The community features 53 one-bedroom & two-bedroom apartments located at 734 Savidge Street in downtown Spring Lake.
The Landing at Spring Lake welcomes all people who meet the MSHDA requirements for this property, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, national origin or sexual orientation. Applicants must be 18 or older and meet MSHDA income guidelines. Rent includes water and trash disposal. Electricity and heat are billed separately. Barrier free units are available for those with mobility impairments.
