(Grand Haven, MI) – A paroled sex offender has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in Ottawa County’s Port Sheldon Township in a September incident last year. Gregory DuJardine is expected to be sentenced to at least 25 years in prison for the attack that happened after he followed a woman on US-31 and crashed into her vehicle. He then followed her into a gas station parking lot and sexually assaulted her.
DuJardine was arrested in Muskegon after he fled the attack.
Sixty-year-old Greg DuJardine had been sentenced to life in prison in 1989 for sexually assaulting an Ottawa County park attendant in July 1988, but he was released on parole in January of this year. The Michigan Department of Corrections has not commented about the circumstances around his parole.
