(Detroit, MI) – Saturday night’s playoff game for the Detroit Lions at Ford Field is expected to pay off for businesses all over the area. Anderson Economic Group is estimating the game between the Lions and Washington Commanders will have 64-million-dollars in economic impact. The direct impact is estimated at just over 39-million-dollars, including police protection, ticket sales, and more while the indirect impact is from dollars that are re-spent in the economy.
The Detroit Auto Show and Detroit Pistons game the same day are also included in the economic impact from the NFL playoff game.
