(Holland, MI) – A Hope College junior was hit and killed by a train Saturday evening near 10th Street in Holland. She has been identified as Jennifer Kasunick of Bay Village, Ohio and her service dog survived the crash. President Matt Scogin says nearly everyone on campus knew Jennifer and says “her joyful spirit was a constant source of warmth and light, especially in Phelps Hall, where she served as an RA alongside her service dog Rowdy.”
Details on the crash have not been released.
