State Senate Passes Ghost Gun, Bump Stock Bans

By Mary Ellen Murphy Dec 16, 2024 | 5:46 AM

(Lansing, MI) – Ghost guns and bump stocks would be banned in Michigan under bills that passed the state Senate last week. Bump stocks are an accessory that can convert a semi-automatic rifle into a machine gun capable of firing 400-to-800 rounds a minute. Ghost guns are untraceable and sold as easily-assembled kits or produced by 3D printers.

The bills are now before the state House.
