Robbins Road Water Main Break and Boil Water Notice

Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – At approximately 10pm on December 11, 2024 public works crews responded to a water main break at the intersection of Robbins Road and Gillin Street on the City’s East side.

Crews have completed repairs to the failed water main and water has been restored as of 7:30 am on Thursday December 12, 2024. Robbins Road was closed at the time of the incident and will
remain closed until the road and roadway has been restored to safe conditions. Crews anticipate the road will be open to traffic by mid-afternoon.

A boil water notice has been issued for the affected area. Individual notices have been delivered to each affected customer. Affected customers includes residents on Robbins Road between
Beechtree Street and Moreland Street as well as all residents within the Robbins Nest Apartment complex, Village Green Mobile Home Community and Klempel Farms Condominiums. The
boil water notice will be lifted as soon as bacteriological sample results indicate the water is safe to drink.

They anticipate those results within the next 48 -72 hours.
