(Holland Township, MI) – A Holland Township park could soon receive some major upgrades. Plans and funding for one-point-four-million-dollars worth of work at Hawthorn Park was recently approved by the Holland Board of Trustees. The plans would see the parking getting a new permanent restroom, lighting upgrades, parking, a boardwalk, a trailhead for a new natural surface trail which is more than two-miles long, and more.
The project now needs to be approved by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy. If approved, construction is slated to begin in 2025.
