(Lansing, MI) – Over 75-thousand deer have been harvested since the opening of firearm deer hunting season on Friday. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says as of late yesterday afternoon, nearly 55-thousand antlered deer and almost 21-thousand antlerless deer had been reported. In all, around 173-thousand deer have been legally harvested this year including archery season.
Firearm deer season lasts until November 30th and archery season will reopen December 1st.
