Grand Haven, MI — November 19, 2024 — The Grand Haven Children’s Museum is excited to announce a significant milestone in its Founding 50 fundraising campaign. To date, the museum has secured $135,000 towards its $250,000 goal, marking a crucial step in establishing a vibrant and interactive space for children.

“This achievement brings us one step closer to creating a children’s museum in the heart of Grand Haven,” says board President Rachel Dody. “Reaching this milestone is a testament to our community’s deep commitment to our kids and families – our deep commitment to investing in their bright futures.”

Funds secured from the Founding 50 campaign are allocated for essential startup activities, including site selection, building design, exhibit development, and community engagement. These initiatives will lay the foundation for what promises to be a significant new resource for the community.

Dody envisions the future Grand Haven Children’s Museum as a vibrant, immersive space where children can explore, create, and build critical thinking skills. “This will be a place where curiosity and creativity are sparked, and learning happens through play.”

Founding donor Cindy Anderson shared her excitement for the project: “Don and I see the children’s museum as the next major legacy project for Grand Haven, following in the footsteps of other beloved landmarks like the Musical Fountain, Imagination Station, and the Rotary Splash Pad.  We’re honored to help bring this vision to life.”
