Allendale, MI (WGHN) – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and the Allendale Twp Fire were called to the scene of Lake Michigan Dr/60th Ave for an injury crash.
The investigation showed a 21-year-old woman from Okemos was driving a 2017 Ford Edge. She turned WB onto Lake Michigan Dr from 60th Ave in front of a 2021 Chevy Silverado being driven by a 48-year-old man from Coopersville.
The man from Coopersville attempted to avoid the collision but lost control and went over the median of Lake Michigan Dr into the EB traffic. The Coopersville man then hit a 2015 Toyota Tundra that was being driven by a 65-year-old man from Zeeland. That collision caused the Zeeland man to hit the car next to him which was a 2023 Ford Maverick which was being driven by a 39-year-old woman from Allendale.
All injured parties were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Eastbound Lake Michigan Dr at 60th Ave was reduced to one lane for some time during the investigation.
