October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month/Love in Action Hosting Women’s Clinic

(Washington, DC) – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It aims to promote screening and prevention of the disease, which is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. Breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in women, and it increases with age. About 83-percent of breast cancer diagnoses each year are among women aged 50 and older.

Love in Action of the Tri Cities free clinic  is hosting a Women’s Health Clinic on Saturday, October 19th from 9-3 p.m. Gynecology exams and testing, breast exams and mammogram referrals, skin checks ans more. Each person will receive a Meijer/Walmart gift card too.

The event is for those who are uninsured or underinsured and an appointment must be made. Call and ask for Emalee at 1-616-846-2701 Space is limited.
