2 Ottawa County commissioners file as write-in candidates after losing in Primary

West Olive, MI 9WGHN) – Two Ottawa County commissioners who lost in the August Republican primary have filed to run as write-in candidates for the November election. District 9 Commissioner Roger Belknap and District 1 Commissioner Gretchen Cosby both have filed notifications with the Ottawa County Clerk’s Office. According to the Ottawa County Clerk’s Office, the only other person to file for write-in candidacy is Scott Muellerleile.

Muellerleile also is running in District 9.

Doug Zylstra introduced a resolution to add an agenda item to discuss the interim administrator since Jon Anderson stepped down. The motion was denied by Chairman Joe Moss.

Anderson submitted a resignation letter on Friday, Sept. 6, to the board of commissioners with a final day being Oct. 4.
