(GRAND HAVEN)-Grand Haven has been named the third-best fishing spot in Michigan.
FishingBooker.com, a leading site for booking charter excursions across America, ranked Michigan cities based on six criteria compiled from surveys on 2023 fishing habits.
Piscators graded communities based on the number of available charters, average review score, average recommended score, number of guides with an Angler’s Choice Award, number of bookings, and minimum fishing trip price.
Grand Haven earned 47 points out of 60 possible. Traverse City had the highest score in the state at 59, and Manistee was second with 49.
Grand Haven is known for a substantial salmon population in nearby Lake Michigan and a variety of fish on inland waterways, including catfish, bass, blue gill, and even muskie.
