Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Beginning the week of August 26, 2024, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission will begin work on a resurfacing project on W. Spring Lake Rd. between Van Wagoner Rd. and Hemlock Dr. in Spring Lake Twp.
This project will consist of the following work: Milling the existing asphalt surface, adding a 3-foot paved shoulder on each side of the road where conditions allow, paving two layers of hot mix asphalt, and applying an epoxy overlay on the bridge deck.
Preparation work will take place the week of Aug. 26, 2024, and will consist of adjusting manhole covers and metal castings, and adjusting driveway approaches as needed.
Milling operations will begin the week of Sept. 2, 2024, following the Labor Day holiday, with paving operations taking place after milling work is completed.
The project is expected to last through late September 2024, however all work is weather dependent and completion dates are subject to change.
