(Grand Haven, MI) – An attempt by Jim Dreyer to swim across Lake Michigan this week has ended. Dreyer made it about 37 miles from Grand Haven toward Wisconsin after starting the swim on Tuesday. He stopped late yesterday morning.
Dreyer first swam 65 miles across Lake Michigan in 1998 and tried twice last year to swim the lake again, but poor weather conditions prevented those.
