Allendale Twp., MI (WGHN) – A 70-year-old women was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash involving a semi Tuesday afternoon in Allendale Township.
Police were called to the intersection of Lake Michigan Drive and 84th Avenue around 12:57 p.m. after a 20-year-old man from Allendale who was driving a Ford sedan eastbound on Lake Michigan Drive hit the rear end of a Pontiac, pushing it into oncoming westbound traffic.
A semi truck then hit the Pontiac on the passenger side. The driver of the Pontiac, a 70-year-old woman from Allendale was killed.
Her name is being withheld pending family notification.
The investigation is still underway. The roadway was closed for most of the afternoon into the evening Tuesday.
