(Muskegon, MI) – The rescue effort in Muskegon in Lake Michigan has been suspended for a man who is presumed to have drowned. The search was called off by officials early yesterday afternoon due to choppy conditions on the lake and they have not said if or when they will resume the effort. He was reported seen struggling in the water and then going under Saturday afternoon.
Muskegon Fire Department officials say no one has been reported missing. A Beach Hazards Statement is in effect till 11:00 p.m. Monday evening.
