(Grand Rapids, MI) – Former Ottawa County Administrator John Gibbs has filed a federal lawsuit against the county board of commissioners and chairman Joe Moss over his firing. Gibbs says he was fired earlier this year it was retaliation for criticizing the performance of Jack Jordan, the county’s lawyer and an attorney with Kallman Legal Group. He is also suing the board for allegedly violating the state’s Whistleblower Protection Act.
Gibbs has denied creating a hostile workplace environment and that is also part of his lawsuit.
