(Grand Rapids, MI) – A Grand Rapids man has caught a huge steelhead, or rainbow trout, from the Grand River this week. Gustavo Reyes caught the 35-inch long steelhead Wednesday morning, and it took about ten minutes to reel it in. The state record for a steelhead is 39-and-a-half-inches long, and that was caught in 1975 in Lake Michigan.

Reyes was on the east shore of the river in roughly three-feet of water.
