State Representative Condemned For Social Media Post Of “Illegal Invaders”

(Detroit, MI) – State Representative Matt Maddock is being condemned for a post on X that “illegal invaders” had landed at Detroit Metropolitan Airport Wednesday night. Maddock’s post said three buses had “loaded up with illegal invaders” at the airport, but the buses were for Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball team in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 in Detroit. The Michigan Republican Party has not commented, but Michigan Democratic Party chairwoman Lavora Barnes says the posts “ratchets up the anger and the fear.”

Maddock also posted yesterday morning “since we can’t trust the Fake News to investigate, citizens will.”
