Detroit, MI (WGHN) – Detroit Free Press columnist Mitch Albom and his wife are among ten people who have been rescued from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. They were at his Have Faith Haiti Orphanage and their rescue was coordinated partly by Congresswoman Lisa McClain of Bruce Township. Albom says they are “grimy and exhausted” but safe.
He says he is worried for everyone who remains stuck in Haiti after the government folded.
