Cruise Ships Had Nearly $2 Million Economic Impact On Mackinac Island

(Mackinac Island, MI) – Cruise ships visiting Mackinac Island this year had an economic impact of nearly two-million-dollars. Around 20-thousand people used the cruise ships to go to the island in Lake Huron. Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau executive director Tim Hygh says the growing number of passengers visiting the island “are a testament to the magic of Mackinac Island as a must-visit destination.”

Nine cruise ships made dozens of stops at the island this year.
