(West Olive, MI) – Eighty of 225 dogs rescued by Bissell Pet Foundation from commercial breeders and a puppy mill in the Midwest are heading to Michigan on Friday. Twenty will be taken by Harbor Humane Society in West Olive and the other 60 will head to other shelters. Bissell Pet Foundation’s Brittany Schlacter says most of the dogs are small breeds and likely have never had medical attention in their lives.
The other 145 dogs rescued will go to Connecticut and New York.
