At the outset, I thank you so much for your birthday greetings!
During today’s Lunchtime At The Laguna, I discussed how more of WGHN listener Jeff Reyer’s handiwork is now appearing on World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) television.
As posted on wghn.com last month, Jeff, aka “The Leatherman,” and his business, JR Leather Company, performed the leatherwork on the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship, eventually won by Seth Rollins.
This craftsman has been busy as WWE has ordered new women’s titles (single and tag team) and recently debuted a new Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Title (pictured).
The undisputed belt is the combined version of the two titles (WWE & Universal Championship), held by Roman Reigns for over 1000 days.
This new title is the most prestigious in WWE and is the highest honor in professional wrestling.
Jeff, who hand tools the straps on the belt (another fabricator handles plating), says many of these new belt orders come out of the blue, and WWE wanted them immediately.
It’s believed the sports entertainment league opted to upgrade most of their titles as feedback on the first belt Jeff and his compatriots produced has been favorable.
Jeff, his wife Lisa, and his daughter Jessa live here in Grand Haven and are longtime supporters of WGHN and my various radio personas.
As Ma Bruce says, “They are good people, son.”
